Does Cellular PVC trim and/or Cellular PVC require painting?

No. Cellular PVC trim does not require painting but, like any Cellular PVC product, it will weather over time and painting will enhance these  premium products to maintain color consistency over time. Our Cellular trim products are ready for painting and require very little preparation.
Painting with a good quality, vinyl safe 100% Acrylic Latex paint will further protect products to maintain color consistency for many years. 

There are several paint manufacturers that warranty their specific coating products on Cellular PVC trim and mouldings. Our warranty does not cover painted finishes or coating applied to the product by the original purchaser or any third party. However, if the proper coatings are used, and the coating manufacturer’s instructions are followed, users will be successful. Adhesion can be improved through light scuff sanding. Product should be cleaned with a mild detergent or denatured alcohol and soft clean rag or bristle brush.

Can you use standard woodworking material to cut PVC?

Yes – Typical wood working machinery, blades, bits, and cutter heads are perfect for fabricating PVC. All blades, cutter heads and bits must be sharp and undamaged for best results. Machinery must be in good working condition.
