PVC column wraps offer several performance advantages over traditional wood wraps, especially for exterior applications.
While wood provides a natural look, it typically requires ongoing maintenance such as painting or staining and can be vulnerable to moisture and insects. In contrast, PVC column wraps are designed to be:

  • Low maintenance
  • Moisture resistant
  • Insect resistant
  • More consistent over time

Many modern systems also replicate the look of stained wood, delivering a similar aesthetic without the long-term upkeep

Yes. Cellular PVC is a thermoplastic polymer, which means it becomes pliable or bendable when exposed to certain temperatures, returning to a solid state when cool. Because of its nature, some cellular PVC profiles can be reheated and reformed; however, variations in batches, profile geometry, and density or weight of the profile mean some experimentation will be required to perfect this skill.

For best results, don’t bend any cellular PVC trim greater than 6” wide.

  • Resist weather-related wear
  • Eliminate the need for routine refinishing

Some products are manufactured with advanced surface finishes that replicate wood grain while maintaining durability, reducing the need for ongoing maintenance in most applications.
