Yes. Cultured Stone products have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. These test results prove a class A fire rating, zero flame spread and zero smoke development, although there can be some discoloration over time when exposed to extreme high heat. It also should be noted that our products should never be installed inside the firebox. From a durability standpoint, Cultured Stone products will perform the same as any quality lightweight concrete material. However, it should be noted that, as with any concrete or natural material, continued exposure to chlorine and other chemicals may eventually affect coloration. When frequently exposed to water, we recommend protection with a silane based non-film forming breather-type masonry sealer.
