Its clean vertical lines and open-joint, multi-batten profile set it apart from standard clapboard siding, giving homes a contemporary look that traditional siding cannot achieve. Vertälla installs much like standard vinyl board-and-batten siding and uses the same familiar accessories. It’s engineered for vertical installation and comes in 10′ panels that lock together with traditional vinyl siding techniques. Siding contractors can cut and nail Vertälla panels using common vinyl siding tools (like snips and a snap-lock punch).
Critically, no special trim pieces or fasteners are needed – Vertälla fits standard J-channel trim, corner posts, and starter strips already used for vinyl siding projects. This means you can seamlessly integrate Vertälla with other siding and achieve a professional finish without extra steps or custom parts. The panels are lightweight and come prefinished, so installation is straightforward: simply nail up the starter strip, then hang each Vertälla panel as you would a typical vertical siding piece. As with all Westlake Royal vinyl products, ensure a 1/4″ gap for expansion at the top and ends, and you’re set. The result is a hassle-free installation that offers pros the “performance and ease they expect from vinyl” in a new design-forward profile.
