What is insulated vinyl siding, and what are its benefits?
Insulated vinyl siding includes a layer of continuous insulation with a minimum R-value of R-2.0. It enhances energy efficiency and is recognized in the International Energy Conservation Code and many energy programs. Most profiles also contain a moisture management system to allow water that may condense behind the siding to escape.
What needs to be done to maintain insulated vinyl siding?
Insulated vinyl siding is one of the lowest maintenance siding choices around. It only requires an annual wash with soapy water to keep the siding looking good for year. Unlike many other claddings you do not need to repaint or recaulk your siding.
Are the profiles different than vinyl siding?
The Neoporinsulating foam not only provides energy efficiency, but it also supports the weatherable top layer, thereby enabling wider exposure choices than found with regular vinyl siding.
How do your darker colors perform?
We use a proprietary technology package called Chromatix to preserve your color and protect your investment. Chromatix is designed to resist fade associated with ultraviolet exposure and to reflect infrared energy for great on the wall performance.
