Insulated vinyl siding includes a layer of continuous insulation with a minimum R-value of R-2.0. It enhances energy efficiency and is recognized in the International Energy Conservation Code and many energy programs. Most profiles also contain a moisture management system to allow water that may condense behind the siding to escape.
