How does Westlake Roof Tile Mortar help prevent efflorescence?

Westlake Roof Tile Mortar is made from high quality, thoroughly washed sand to eliminate contaminants that promote efflorescence. Also, an Integral Water Repellant (IWR) is added to repel moisture and inhibit efflorescence

What does the Roof Tile Mortar warranty cover?

The warranty provided by the manufacturer covers that the product will be able to be mixed into a mortar compliant with ASTM C270. The warranty does NOT cover: color, efflorescence, cracking or separating or adhesion. These potential issues are dependent on the mixing by the applicator, amount of water added, weather conditions, application method, etc.

How is Westlake Roof Tile Mortar better than Standard Grey Mortar with Oxides?

Fiber-reinforcement and Type S mortar provides greater strength and resistance to shrinkage and cracking to last longer and provide better weatherproofing than standard Type M mortars that can shrink and crack more easily than Type S.
