That’s why Westlake Royal™ Roofing Components developed Ribbed Valley Metal—to ensure a free-flowing, efficient drainage path that helps protect the structural integrity of the roof. Traditional W-valley metals, typically used with wood shakes and asphalt shingles, often trap debris and redirect water into the roof system, leading to underlayment failure, rot, and deterioration of the roof deck and framing below.
