FAQs
Innovative Poly-Ash technology was invented to address common issues with other exterior products in the industry. It’s a product that offers a high level of dimensional stability to help reduce expansion and contraction. Its smooth or grain textures deliver cladding material that looks authentic, moisture-resistant, can be painted any color and does not require cumbersome installation techniques.
TruExterior Products come with a factory-applied primer. Because TruExterior Products absorb minimal moisture, ends and field cuts do not need to be primed or sealed. TruExterior Products do require a coat of exterior-grade paint to maintain your warranty.
TruExterior Products do not support mold or mildew growth and do not contain a food source for mold or mildew, but mold and mildew can grow via food sources that may be on the surface of TruExterior Products, or virtually any material for that matter.
TruExterior Lap Siding is engineered for beauty and on the wall performance. These profiles are designed to promote water drainage, reducing the risks of mold and mildew. The thick 5/8’’ body of the lap siding planks delivers a deep shadow line for timeless curb appeal.
TruExterior Lap Siding offers a high level of dimensional stability, tighter joints and a cleaner look. Its innovative Poly-Ash Technology delivers easy-to-cut and miter lap siding planks ensuring faster and simpler installation without sacrificing style and unique home details.
TruExterior Products will achieve the same exceptional level of performance in the harshest of climates and conditions, provided the correct fasteners are used for the specific conditions. Please refer to TruExterior Installation Guidelines for fastener recommendations and always check your local code requirements.

TruExterior Lap Siding requires 1-1/2’’ Trim to ensure trim is proud of the siding. To create a home design with modern, clean lines and seamless corners, mitering the lap siding planks instead of using trim in those areas will create a sleek and sophisticated appearance.
Yes, it is resistant to moisture while being suitable for moisture prone areas. Termites are not attracted to TruExterior. TruExterior minimum moisture absorbency advantage means less cumbersome installation techniques.
