Rock Ridge and Aurora Expand Single-Width Slate Color Options
It’s official: I’m in love! DaVinci’s newest Single-Width Slate colors, Aurora and Rock Ridge, have captured my heart. The latest additions to DaVinci’s slate colors are so beautiful they can easily set the tone for your home’s exterior color scheme.
Single-Width Composite Slate in Aurora
The cool-toned plums and browns combined with mossy gray-green in Aurora look stunning when paired with Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter and White Dove trim. For accents, consider using Sparrow, a deep gray with warm brown undertones, alongside Chambourd, a rich blend of brown and violet, to enhance the colors in Aurora.
To emphasize the reddish tones of Aurora, consider using taupe paint and a subdued red for the front door. Pair Benjamin Moore’s Sag Harbor Gray with Hearth Red and choose white or off-white for the trim.
Additionally, a combination of Winterwood with Creekside Green and Dark Olive harmonizes beautifully with Aurora’s soft green and violet tones.
The new DaVinci Single-Width Slate colors also work wonderfully with vibrant color schemes. With its soft mottled greens and dappled purples, Aurora can be beautifully complemented by Benjamin Moore’s 2025 Color of the Year, Cinnamon Slate. This works well with Cloud Cover, Fresco Urbain, and Eggplant to create a striking look.
Single-Width Composite Slate in Rock Ridge
With its complex combination of blacks and grays, Rock Ridge is an excellent choice for a classic black-and-white design, a popular option for farmhouse-style homes. A striking neutral combination includes Sherwin-Williams Light French Gray paired with Origami White trim, complemented by a Tricorn Black front door and shutters.
The dark gray tones of Rock Ridge pair perfectly with Sherwin-Williams Naval and crisp Icicle trim. The softer blue of Favorite Jeans and a touch of Software gray round out the color scheme nicely.
Another excellent combination is Rock Ridge with a green hue like Benjamin Moore’s Green Onyx. With deeper green shutters in Secret Garden and a Black Magic front door, this combination achieves a classic look that suits a wide range of home styles.
The buttery shade of Sherwin-Williams Vital Yellow paired with Snowbound white trim softens the deep dark gray and black tones of Rock Ridge. A soft gray front door can connect the roofing to the entry, or you can choose pale blue, green, or pink for a charming color palette.
